Les sept artistes qui forment Mad in Finland ont en commun d’être femmes, circassiennes, finlandaises et d’avoir toutes quitté la Finlande pour vivre de leur passion du cirque. Avec beaucoup d’humour, d’amour et d’énergie, elles vous livrent leur pays tel qu’elles le voient ou le rêvent. Une Finlande imaginaire et réinventée, où la « dépression finlandaise » a quelque chose de magique, où la rudesse du climat crée des caractères forts. Le spectacle parle aussi du cirque, parce que c’est un choix de vie engageant, celui de l’itinérance, du chapiteau, des théâtres, des cabarets, des projets à l'autre bout du monde et des numéros poussés au plus haut niveau.

The seven artists that make up Mad in Finland have in common the fact that they are circus women, are Finnish and have left their country to live from their passion for the circus. With lots of humour, love and energy, the seven women of Mad in Finland reveal their country, how they perceive or dream about it. An imaginary and reinvented Finland where “Finnish depression” has something magical about it, where the harshness of climate engenders strong natures. The show is also about circus because that is what the artists are fully immersed in, having chosen to live on the road, perform in Big Tops and showing to the best of their abilities in very skilled techniques. These seven women express themselves through different circus skills: swinging trapeze, tightrope, aerial silks, balance board, acrobatics, trapeze duet and live music.

Sointu

Deux êtres, deux bulles, accords et désaccords.
Loin des mots, près des yeux, les boucles d'un dialogue se créent
en musique, en rythme, bodypercussion et acrobaties aériennes.
Comment se comprendre lorsque le monde s'enraille lui-même à l'infini.

Kaksi hahmoa, kaksi kuplaa, kaksi kieltä, yritys kommunikoida. Väärinymmärrys on siis alustettu. Kun yhteisymmärrystä etsitään rytmistä, solmuja luodaan maassa, ilmassa ja päässä. Keskustelun silmukat syntyvät musiikilla, bodypercussiolla ja ilma-akrobatialla. Sinne he sijoittavat sointunsa.

Two beings, two bubbles, their words mix in their two languages. So incomprehension takes place. When consensus is searched for in the common rhythm, knots are made in the air, on the ground and inside their heads. The loops of a dialogue are created with music, aerial acrobacy, body percussion and tilted rhythm. That's where they cast their chords.

Sanoja ilmassa

Runoilija Juuli Niemen ja ilma-akrobaatti Heini Koskisen esitys rakentuu Niemen runojen pohjalta. Mutta miten sitoa yhteen kaksi eri taiteenmuotoa ja onko kohtaaminen mahdollista ”kaksikielisessä” tilassa? Tuloksena on sanoja ja ilmaa, yhteyttä ja ohimenemistä kummankin  omalla kielellä.
